GET IT!!!!!!!!! July 24, 2010 Emi (Brooklyn, NY) I read this book cover to cover last summer ,and well..... I AM NOW IN PA SCHOOL!!! It is the Bible of PA admissions. It gives helpful advice on how to write your personal statement, it explains what PA school admins. are looking for and will prep you for the interview. If you are serious about PA school this is the book you have to be reading. Two thumbs up!!!!
Great detail, but a bit outdated June 5, 2010 A. Arbelaez (Cleveland, Ohio) This book was great. It has a good amount of information with lots of step by step direction and detail. However, the book is outdated. I saw that there is a new version coming out in August of 2010. I think that one will be extremely informative because of all of its updates.
A little over hyped February 5, 2010 R. Ramos Overall good for the Pre-PA who has done little to no research on the profession or admission into PA programs. I bought this book along with others in order to prepare for PA school applications and interviews. Though it is somewhat helpful in a general sense, I felt that it wasn't as concise as it should have been with the author talking a lot about himself in many section intros. It also has some out of date information and has a lot of information that is commonly found online. IN the end it didn't give me any AH-HAH moments.
Very helpful February 1, 2010 Amanda (Boston, MA) I found this book to be extremely helpful. The book is comprehensively written to walk you through the steps of the application process starting at the very beginning with essays, then interviews, and even the "what happens next if I am not accepted?" I purchased this book late in the game (after I had sent my applications and found out that I was invited for interviews), but the interview prep section was amazingly helpful and entirely worth the purchase. This book has several pages of possible questions alongside appropriate answers with insights that allow you to formulate your own personalized and thoughtful answers. I am glad I purchased this book because I was accepted to P.A. school, and it may be due to its assistance with my interview preparation!
